Berkheide (Katwijk)
White V85 was banded during spring migration in West Norway in 2015, and since then it has been reported many times from its wintering sites in Belgium and the Netherlands, and also on passage through Denmark. It belongs to the population breeding in Svalbard, currently around 80.000 birds. Approximately 1% of the population are wearing neckbands like the one you saw, as part of an ongoing population study, with researchers from Norway, Denmark, the Netherlands and Belgium.
